About Us

Spearpoint Landscaping was founded in 2012 by Alicia and her eldest son Tony Loya, under a very humble beginning with 2 employees and 1 pickup truck. Tony started offering yard clean up services since 2004 among family, friends and neighbors, sometimes with the help of dad Marco, Alicia and younger brother Luis. 

5 years later Alicia joined full time in the effort, creating the name of Spearpoint Landscaping and helping set the foundation and the vision for the business. Marco passed away in 2011. 

After serving 4 years with the US Navy, and working 5 years for a major bank firm, Luis Loya, the youngest of 3 siblings, decided to change paths and joined the group to later become an important key player of Spearpoint Landscaping. Both brothers worked hard always under the encouragement and wise counsel of Alicia, whose father was also a general contractor during the eighties in the Mexican beach town of Rocky Point, Sonora. 

Within 3 years, Alicia and her partner Tony started a small but significant expansion by adding a third pickup truck and 3 utility trailers to help with the yard maintenances & hauling, and the newly added services: Drip irrigation systems and hardscaping installation. 

Today, Spearpoint Landscaping continues the legacy created over 15 years ago in the East part of Tucson. With an amplified vision, better equipment and a seasoned team of qualified helpers, the company continues to expand its services in Tucson and the areas of Marana, Oro Valley and the town of Red Rock.
